Livingston, MT is a great little town of about 8,000—it has a vibrant artist community, great schools, glorious outdoor activities, and a gorgeous location. It is located about an hour north of Yellowstone Park….with top notch skiing, hiking, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and outdoor recreation! Livingston was the gateway to Yellowstone National Park; the Northern Pacific Railway marketed the Park heavily to Easterners. In July 1806, Lewis & Clark camped on the banks of the Yellowstone River and years later, Calamity Jane resided here for two decades. Livingston is surrounded by mountains—the Absarokas to the south/southeast and the Crazy Mountains to the north. There is always something going on in the area – from wonderful music festivals to rodeos to Farmer’s Markets. And if you love the outdoors, you would be hard pressed to find a better spot to put down roots…
